BACKGROUND.
The COVID-19 crisis reversed years of hard-won gains in women, children & adolescent health. Two years on, with disrupted health systems & economies severely impacted, women & children in the world’s poorest & most vulnerable countries have been hardest hit by this secondary crisis. To help countries reclaim the gains the Global Financing Facility for Women, Children & Adolescents (GFF), a partnership hosted at the World Bank launched a resource mobilisation campaign to raise $1.2 billion to protect essential health services & strengthen health systems.
REQUIREMENT.
In 2021, The Mammoths were appointed to produce a bi-lingual (English & French) virtual event that brought together ministers from Canada, Senegal, Netherlands, Norway, Nigeria, & Ethiopia & many other partners & community representatives to discuss the crisis, call for urgent action, & pledge their support to the GFF campaign.
FEEDBACK.
During the one hour event, the GFF received pledges of over $200 million. The event was streamed live on Twitter & received over 100,000 views during the first 96 hours.
“A huge THANK YOU for a flawless event today! We just had just a quick de-briefing with our team here & everyone was raving about how amazing you guys have been throughout this journey. Our partners & everyone who participated in the event were extremely pleased with the quality & the content. We really could not have done this without you.”
